Proceeds from the first annual standup comedy fundraiser will be split between the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and a 22 year old battling Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
Online, February 9, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Media Moguls PR is hosting the 1st annual Amateur Standup Comedy Fundraiser on March 29, 2014 in Salt Lake City, UT. Proceeds from the event will be split and donated to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and to Mitch Noel, a 22 year old father battling Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
The comedy fundraiser will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton on 600 S, 110 W in Salt Lake City, UT. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the comedy show will start at 8:00 PM sharp.
This is the second fundraiser hosted in Salt Lake City by Media Moguls PR. In December, they hosted a Bachelor and Bachelorette Charity Auction which they plan to turn into an annual event.
Blair Nastasi, founder of Media Moguls PR and event organizer said, "This is a cause very personal to me. I lost my step-dad, Steve, to a rare form of cancer in 2009. The Huntsman Cancer Institute made his last days comfortable and the staff was truly amazing. I have a personal goal to raise $50,000 over a series of events to get a room dedicated in his name at HCI. We can never replace the amazing man we lost, but we can come together to leave a legacy in his honor."
The comedy fundraiser will feature a wide variety of comedians, including a number of headlining comedians from Wiseguys Comedy Club and a terminal cancer patient from Huntsman that performs standup comedy to make light of his grim situation.
Complimentary snacks and a cash bar will be available at the comedy show. Individual tickets to the event are $20 and table sponsorships begin at $250. Seating is available for 200 and tickets are anticipated to sell out in advance of the event. Tickets can be purchased online at www.MediaMogulsFundraisers.com
Nastasi said, "We need the support of the local community and area businesses to make this important fundraiser come together.
